Built For Gyms.
Born From Frustration.
Gym Connect started the way a lot of tools do. We needed something that didn't exist.
We were running a small chain of boutique studios. Every month, hundreds of members would lapse — they'd stop showing up, stop paying, quietly drift away. Our front desk team was supposed to call them back. But between checking people in, answering questions, and running the floor, those calls almost never happened. And when they did, half the numbers went to voicemail.
So we looked at what was already out there. There are dozens of "member engagement" platforms. We tried a bunch of them. They were either overpriced, clunky, unreliable, or all three. Most of them felt like they were built by software people who had never actually worked a gym floor. The interfaces were confusing, the templates sounded robotic, and the bookings rarely synced with our calendar.
We remember thinking: we could build something better than this.
There was just one problem. AI voice that didn't sound like a bot didn't really exist yet — at least not at a price a single-location studio could afford. So we waited, kept hacking on prototypes, and watched the tech catch up.
But we had something the existing tools didn't. We knew exactly what a gym owner actually needs day to day. Not fifty features buried in a confusing dashboard. Just a clean, simple flow: upload your lapsed members, pick a sequence that sounds like a real person, hit go, and let the tool handle the calls, texts, and voicemails while you get on with running your gym.
So we built it. With a lot of late nights, a lot of testing on our own member lists, and a stubborn refusal to ship anything we wouldn't trust with our own brand. The first version booked 14 trial classes its first week. The second version recovered more revenue in a month than our front desk had in the previous quarter.
Today, Gym Connect powers AI outreach for over 1,200 gyms and studios — from single-location CrossFit boxes to multi-site franchises. Every feature we ship is something a gym owner asked for, usually after a call where they told us exactly what was broken about the last tool they used.
We're still a small team. We still answer our own support emails. And we're still building Gym Connect the way we wish someone had built it for us back when we were the ones missing those callbacks.
If you run a gym and you're tired of leaving revenue on the table, we'd love to have you try it.
